· Romans was written by Paul to help the Roman Christians see how to "live by faith" (Romans 1:17).
· Romans 1:17 is a quote from Habakkuk 2:4. In Romans 1:17, Paul emphasized "the just." In Galatians 3:11, he emphasized "shall live." And in Hebrews 10:38, the writer emphasized "by faith."
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Annie Armstrong Offering
Today's second offering will be for North American Missions.
Church Vote Today
After worship, we'll vote on:
1. Remove stumps by the Fellowship Hall ($3,500).
2. Replace windows and doors in Fellowship Hall ($7,392).
Monies will come from the Building and Grounds Fund.
Bible Drill
This Wednesday, May 17, we'll have a Bible Drill. And no electronic Bibles are allowed.
Honoring Graduates
We will be honoring our high school and college graduates on Sunday, June 4. Please let Pastor Bill know the names and schools of any graduates from Calvary by May 21.
Community Fun Day
Please spread the word about our Fun Day this Saturday, May 20 from 10am until 2pm.
We will need cakes for the cakewalk and help in a variety of areas. Please let Clara know where you can help.
Let's pray for the Lord to use this to impact our community.
Homecoming / Cleanup
Everyone is needed to help clean the church. Join us this Saturday, June 3 or see a Building & Grounds member for another date to help with some projects.
Please Pray in May
The Associational Prayer emphasis for May is for the Sandhills Baptist Association staff, Executive Counsel, and its ministries.
Pastor's Vacation
The Pastor and Hilary will be on vacation from Tuesday, May 16 through Monday, May 22.
