1 Corinthians 9:24-27

·       Like athletes, we need to have motivation as we live our Christian lives.

·       Like athletes, we need self-control, submitting to God's will and not our desires.

·       Spiritual disciplines like Bible reading, Prayer, and Meditating help us to be the Christians we should be.

·       As we work together, let us build the church up with the right materials.

·       Let's avoid destroying the church from the inside out.

Highlights from the Sermon

1 Corinthians 8:1-13

·       Love Triumphs Over Knowledge – don't let knowledge inflate our pride.

·       Something We Know Is Not Sinful May Be Sinful For Others

·       Love Triumphs Over Our Christian Liberty – don't let ourselves be stumbling blocks to others.

Let's grow in our knowledge of God and His Word. Let's use that knowledge to build others up. Let's balance that knowledge with love. Let love triumph over our knowledge. Let love triumph over our freedom, so that we don't tear others down. Let's not be a stumbling block to anyone.
