BIBLE READING
Here are the Bible readings for this upcoming week. Feel free to read the entire thing, just the NT, or just the OT:
Day | Reading |
Monday | Deuteronomy 6-9; Luke 7 |
Tuesday | Deuteronomy 10-14; Psalm 5; Luke 8 |
Wednesday | Deuteronomy 15-18; Psalm 115; Luke 9 |
Thursday | Deuteronomy 19-22; Psalm 6; Luke 10 |
Friday | Deuteronomy 23-26; Luke 11 |
Deuteronomy was written by Moses (except the last chapter, of course) and was for the Jews.
· Deuteronomy 8:10 is generally why we say grace with our meals.
· Deuteronomy 9:12 – God is annoyed, that He calls them "your people" instead of "My people."
· Deuteronomy, stating with chapter 16, focuses on why they were to do the feasts.
Luke was written by Luke to Theophilus and Gentiles. (Acts was also written by Luke to Theophilus and Gentiles.)
· Luke 11 – Luke's version of the Lord's prayer, which is also given in Matthew 7.

· Like athletes, we need to have motivation as we live our Christian lives.
· Like athletes, we need self-control, submitting to God's will and not our desires.
· Spiritual disciplines like Bible reading, Prayer, and Meditating help us to be the Christians we should be.
