2 Kings was written by Jeremiah to the Israelites in Palestine.
· 2 Kings 20 – Hezekiah was the only faithful king.
2 Chronicles was written by Ezra to Israel.
Isaiah was written by Isaiah to Israel. The first 39 chapters were written about 700 B.C. The rest was written about 681 B.C.
· Isaiah 42:1-4 is quoted in Matthew and attributed to Jesus.
· Isaiah 44:28 – Cyrus is named almost 150 years before his reign.
1 Corinthians was written by Paul to the Corinthian church about 55 A.D.

- It is truly an honor to be a servant of God. (We're in great company – OT & NT, and even Jesus considered Himself a servant of God).
- Our service to God involves obedience, humility, and loyalty.
- Some hindrances to service include having the wrong master, putting limits on our service, and some bad attitudes.
