Here are the Bible readings for this upcoming week. Feel free to read the entire thing, just the NT, or just the OT:

2 Kings was written by Jeremiah to the Jews in Palestine.
· 2 Kings 15:10 – Zechariah was warned of his impending death by Amos (in Amos 7:9).
· 15:30 – Hoshea was the last king of Israel (the Northern Kingdom).
Isaiah was written by Isaiah to Israel. The first 39 chapters were written about 700 B.C. The rest was written about 681 B.C.
· Isaiah 1:18 – "sins are like scarlet" – scarlet was a nearly permanent dye.
· Isaiah 4:2 – The Branch is the Messiah.
Micah was written by Micah to all of Israel (Northern and Southern Kingdoms).
· Micah 5:2 – Bethlehem Ephrethah – Ephrethah was the district that Bethlehem was in.
· Micah chapter 6 is a picture of a courtroom.
Matthew was written by Matthew to Greek speaking Jews.
· Matthew 21:12 – This was the second time Jesus cleared the Temple of moneychangers. John chapter 12 records a previous time.

Wednesday, August 15 – Covered Dish at 6:30pm, Bible Study after meal.
Thursday, August 16 – 5:45pm – Supper and Mission Rally at Beulahville Baptist. Everyone is invited. If you would like to attend, please let Pastor Bill or Jimmy know by Wed, Aug. 8.
Sunday, August 19 – Association Choir Practice at Dublin FBC at 2pm. All are welcome.
Sunday, August 19 – Vote on T-shirts.
Sunday, August 19 – For discipleship training, the youth will be in the old Fellowship Hall and the adults will be in the new Fellowship Hall.
Wednesday, August 29 – Senior / Church Trip to Gravy's Southern Eatery next to Sunset Beach. We will leave the church at 9:45am. Great Food, Great Fellowship: Everyone Welcome.
All Are invited (including the youth) to join us Thursday, August 16 at 2pm as we empty the Fellowship Hall and start cleaning it. Then on Friday, August 17, we will be stripping and waxing the floors. Youth – supper will be provided.
You are invited to a Wedding Shower for Rebecca Cain and James Edwards, Sunday, August 19, from 3-5pm in the Fellowship Hall. The couple is registered at Belk and Amazon.
