1 Kings was written by Jeremiah to the Israelites in Palestine.
· 1 Kings 7:23 – the "Sea" was a tank of water used for ceremonial washings.
2 Chronicles was written by Ezra to Israel.
· 2 Chron 3:3 – Each cubit was 20.5 inches.
· 2 Chron 4-5 – the Temple took 7 years to build.
1 Timothy was written by Paul to Timothy, a young pastor.
· 1 Timothy 2:2 – During this time, Nero was the emperor.
· 1 Timothy 3 – Another list of qualifications of overseers is found in Titus 1:6-8.
